What to Wear for Graduation

Congratulations! You’re about to graduate. Your graduation day will be a very special day that you’ll remember forever. People you love and who love you will be there. Therefore, what you wear that day is critical. Here are five things you should wear at graduation:

1. Comfortable suit or dress.

Graduation is exciting. There will be lots of pictures taken, and you need to make sure you look good! Wear a comfortable suit or dress, and make sure the colors don’t clash with your cap and gown. Also, make sure what you wear isn’t too long, because the last thing you want to do is trip while walking across the stage.

2. Comfortable shoes

This is one of the most important. Depending on the size of the graduating class, you could be standing and waiting for hours. If you bought new shoes for this day, make sure you break them in beforehand. The last thing you want is to worry about painful blisters.

3. Graduation ring

Don’t forget to wear the ring! You worked so hard for this degree. Show off everything that you’ve earned throughout these past few years.

4. Glasses or contacts

Not wanting to wear glasses on your big day is understandable. However, you don’t want to miss seeing everything clearly on your big day. If you’re worried about the cameras’ flashes reflecting off your glasses, just take them off during pictures, or opt for contacts.

5. Bobby pins

Regardless of gender, if you have long hair, make sure to bring bobby pins just in case your cap starts falling off! Everything you wear that day should make you comfortable. Don’t wear anything too tight or too hot. Graduation day is special and it should be a day you remember dearly. Try your best to be stress-free that day. You deserve it!
