5 Signs You Live in a Small College Town
You can grow up in a small town, or you can grow up in a big city. However, it’s different when you’re going to college in a small town. College towns are a different dynamic than just your average growing-up-in-a-small town, and it’s different from the busy atmosphere in a bustling city. There are just some things only small-town college students are able to relate to.
1. Being able to walk almost anywhere
When most of the places you frequent are all in the same vicinity. You can kill two birds with one stone by getting exercise and walking to your destinations.
2. Seeing people you know everywhere you go
Whether you’re going to class, to the grocery store, or anything really there’s a chance that you’ll see a couple of familiar faces around you.
3. Having select few shopping options
Chances are there will only be one shopping mall and it won’t impress you all that much. You’ll get used to shopping online or traveling elsewhere to do your shopping.
4. Locals attending your school events
If your college is the biggest attraction in the town, then locals will more than happy to attend events like football games, concerts, speech events and anything else not limited to the student population.
5. Getting bored and having to make creative plans
Most of the time, you and your friends are left to your own devices as you have to come up with different things to keep you occupied to refrain from doing the same things every week.
