Doesn’t it feel like 2017 has flown by? Think about it – Christmas has already passed, December is almost over, and New Year’s Eve is only a few days away! For some people, the end of the year calls for a celebration; other people prefer a quieter, more casual way to end the year. No matter what your celebration style is, there are lots of different ways to spend your New Year’s Eve. Here are five fun things you can do on New Year’s Eve:

1. Ski/snowboard into the new year

If you’re living in or near a snowy state, go hit the slopes this New Year’s Eve! It doesn’t matter if you’re a pro or just a beginner - ending the year with winter activities can be a fun and different way to say bye to 2017! Here’s another plus - you’ll get a great workout too! Here are a couple of great ski resorts to visit on New Year’s Eve.

2. Plan a movie marathon

If a night in sounds like your kind of celebration, then you should plan a giant movie marathon! Invite a group of friends over, your significant other, or the whole family to watch movies until the year ends. A few good New Year’s Eve-themed picks are Poseidon, When Harry Met Sally, and New Year’s Eve.

3. Dance the night away

For the people who want to spend their New Year’s Eve night away from home, why not hit the dance floor? Grab your best friends or your significant other, and pick a couple of good places to go dancing. Here are a couple of cities around the world that will be throwing huge New Year’s Eve parties.

4. Plan a family-friendly party at home

If you’re spending the holidays with the family, and you want to include your younger relatives in the New Year’s Eve festivities, throw a family-friendly party! With a couple of decorations, food, music, and activities, you can plan the perfect party. A couple of ideas for your at-home NYE party could include a milk and cookies “champagne toast” for the kids, photo props for fun pics, and a DIY balloon drop.

5. Go to a concert

If going to a party isn’t exactly your style, but you don’t want to spend the night in either, then a concert could be a great way to spend your NYE. New Year’s Eve concerts are held all over the country (and the world, if you’re willing to travel a little further). Some of the artists that you can see at the end of this year include Maroon 5, Post Malone, and Foo Fighters.
