10 Websites for Students to Save Big on Cyber Monday

10 Websites for Students to Save Big on Cyber Monday

Just ate Thanksgiving dinner and don’t feel like braving the crowds at the mall or your favorite department store on Black Friday? That’s okay; an online store will most likely have just what you are looking for, and Cyber Monday is the perfect time to buy. Cyber Monday (the Monday following Thanksgiving weekend) is especially great for college students on a budget looking to shop, or students looking to get ahead of their future college needs. Cyber Monday occurs this year on November 28th – here are ten websites that’ll help keep your budget intact:

Best Buy

What college student doesn’t need a good laptop? Whether you’re team Mac or PC, Best Buy has both in stock, and this Cyber Monday they’re helping you save through their online-only deals. Best Buy normally also has deals in all kinds of technological areas including mobile phones, music, movies, and TVs.

That’s right, the holy grail of online shopping will continue its dominance this year with its Cyber Monday deals. Like most people know, Amazon is the one stop shop for every need, from phones to purses and t-shirts to groceries. Need more time to get your holiday shopping done? Amazon is also one of a number of online stores that participates in not just Cyber Monday but Cyber Week.

Probably the most surprising online store on this list, Groupon has tons of savings waiting for Cyber Monday shoppers every year. This year is no exception, as their website already includes a Cyber Monday preview section. Look for huge savings on trips, electronics, and almost everything else you can think of. The trips on Groupon range from single night getaways nearby to 10 day excursions in exotic foreign countries.

If their preview sale is any indication of the savings waiting to be earned on Cyber Monday, then Overstock is definitely one store every cyber shopper will want to remember come shopping time. Their preview sale has savings of up to 75% off certain items, and their inventory ranges from tech to clothing, and almost everything in between.

Express and Old Navy

Stock up for sweater weather with 50% off everything at Express.com, and get 40% off everything at oldnavy.com with the code BESTCYBER. Don’t forget to snag a few deals for everyone on your holiday shopping list, too!

Barnes & Noble

Books, books, and more books.  What college student doesn’t love to read? Okay, well what college student doesn’t need textbooks? In recent years, Barnes & Noble has improved their Cyber Monday deals by including a higher variety of sales and items to choose from. Barnes & Noble’s inventory also includes volumes (get it?) of textbooks available for rent or purchase.  Take advantage of this opportunity to get that must-read you’re just dying to have, or a few of those expensive textbooks you’ll need next semester.

Travel Deals

This Cyber Monday, hotels will be 50% off on Hotels.com and Travelocity, while Priceline is offering 60% off their hotel deals and 40% off flights. Spring Break, anyone?

In the coming weeks, more and more Cyber Monday previews will be advertised, and with a little planning, these deals can help you score big savings this season.
