The ScholarshipPoints membership program gives students the opportunity to earn points by completing activities, such as taking surveys, reading blog posts, and checking out our preferred partners. Each point is a potential entry in a scholarship drawing. Members "spend" their points to enter drawings. We award three or more $1,000 scholarships every month and a $10,000 scholarship every three months.
You can join the ScholarshipPoints program if you are at least 13 years old, if you are enrolled or will enroll in a college or university in the U.S., and if you are a legal resident of the U.S. or Puerto Rico.
Since winners get only three business days to claim their scholarships, we try to notify them as quickly as possible. A phone call is the fastest, most reliable way to reach you.
No. Each member is only allowed to have one account. If a person enters with multiple email addresses, we will know about it. When a winner is selected for a particular scholarship, we compare records to see if the winner's information is similar to any other account.
No. Points are not transferable.
In order to participate in the ScholarshipPoints program, you must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident attending a school in the United States.
Drawings are held at the beginning of every month for monthly free college scholarships, and on the date identified in the description for other special scholarships.
The names of scholarship winners are posted on the Winners' Wall shortly after the drawing.
A computer program creates a numbered entry for each point spent on a given scholarship. If you spent five points on a scholarship, you get five entries. The day of the drawing, the computer program picks a winner at random. The more entries you have, the more chances you have to win. Since the drawings are conducted at random, it is possible to win with only a single entry.
If a winner does not respond within three business days, that winner is disqualified and an alternate winner is selected. We will select as many alternate winners as necessary until the scholarship is claimed in the time allotted.
The ScholarshipPoints program was created specifically for students. If we sent the money directly to the individual, we would be inviting non-students to try to figure out how to win.
All winners are required to provide a student ID number or the last four digits of a Social Security number. We provide this data to the winner's financial aid office to ensure that they match the correct person with the scholarship.
If you are enrolled in a college or university, we send the check directly to your school. It may take up to three to four weeks from the time we receive the winner's information to the time the school receives the check. If you are a high school student, we can send the check directly to a qualified 529 college savings plan.
Yes! The drawings are random, so it is possible to win multiple times.

Saving or spending points is completely up to you. You can accrue points for a long time or spend them right away. There is no telling how many points other members are spending on any one scholarship. Some members like to hang onto their points for bigger scholarship drawings, while other members like to spread out their points over several scholarships. You decide on the strategy you think will give you the best chance to win.

Our mission is to give students and their families the educational resources they need to plan and pay for college. The ScholarshipPoints program enables us to give back directly. We get paid for connecting students with our partners, and that money funds the scholarships.
There's no catch. ScholarshipPoints.com members help us run our business, and we want to help students make their educational goals a reality.
In 2015, we'll give away more than $100,000 in scholarships. That's a lot of money up for grabs!
