What Your New Year’s Resolution Is, Based on Your Zodiac Sign


Aries (March 21 - April 19)

Tackle that big project. You know that one thing you’ve always wanted to do? Learn to ski? Write a book? Move to a new city? This is the year to do it. The longer you put it off, the less likely it is to happen.

Taurus (April 20 - May 20)

Say no. You do too much for others and not enough for yourself. Setting aside some quality “me” time will keep you in a better mood and keep you from becoming too stressed out.

Gemini (May 21 - June 20)

Get serious. You’re known for living it up and having a good time, but all that play can have negative consequences without a work ethic to match it. This is the year to hunker down and focus on your studies or your career. Work as hard as you play and you’ll see the success you’ve always wanted start to trickle in.

Cancer (June 21 - July 22)

Get rid of the toxic people. You’re nice, but that doesn’t mean you should let others walk all over you. Stand up to the people taking advantage of your kindness and bring your real friends closer to you.


Leo (July 23 - August 22)

Let go. You have a tendency to hold grudges, but your emotional walls hurt you just as much as they hurt your enemies. Learn to forgive and work out those discrepancies. Life is too short to spend it angry.

Virgo (August 23 – September 22)

Listen. You like to be independent and in control, but you’re missing out on others’ ideas. Be more receptive to coworkers, family, and peers and you’ll see that others can help you just as much as you can help them.

Libra (September 23 – October 22)

Be more impulsive. Your sign is known as the scales for a good reason. You spend too much time weighing every little decision you make. While it’s smart to make choices with your head, it’s okay to make them with your heart every once in a while, too.

Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)

Focus on the good. It’s easy to take the small things for granted and get wrapped up in all the bad things that happen in life. Make a habit of recognizing what you’re thankful for and learn to lean on those positive thoughts in times of distress.

Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)

Settle down. It’s important to dream big, but sometimes you dream grandiose. If your goals are too far out of reach, you’ll be inevitably disappointed when you don’t reach them. Never lose hope for your dreams, but practice practicality, too

Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)

Have fun. Sometimes you’re just too serious, and someone who works as hard as you do can benefit from a break every once in a while. Use your sick days. Take a vacation. Invite your friends out on weekends. It’ll do wonders for your stress levels.

Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)

Get involved. Your friendly disposition can do a lot of good. Donate your time to a charity or volunteer in your community. Helping others is one of the best ways to feel better about yourself in the New Year.

Pisces (February 19 – March 20)

Follow your heart. You’re hesitant to trust your gut instincts, but you’re more emotionally in-tune than you give yourself credit for. If an opportunity feels right, it probably is. Take a chance and go for it.
