What You Should Watch on Netflix, Based on Your Zodiac Sign
Netflix has over 5,000 titles available to stream right now. You know what this means? That recurring argument of, “What do you want to watch?”, “I don’t know, what do you want to watch?” just got 5,000 times more complicated. Luckily, there’s something out there that can pinpoint exactly what you’re looking for in your next binge watch — your zodiac sign. Here’s what the stars have to say:
Aries (March 21 – April 19)
Considering this is the first sign in the zodiac, it makes sense that Aries are natural-born leaders. They’re always on the hunt for a new adventure, and thrive in competition. Though they can be impatient, and tend to act impulsively, you can always count on them to see something through.
They’ll crave a show as intense and ambitious as they are — try The Walking Dead, Sense8, How to Get Away with Murder, or Revenge.
Taurus (April 20 – May 20)
Practical Taurus finds comfort in routine, which means a show with seasons upon seasons is right up their alley. Predictability is ideal for the famously stubborn sign, but this doesn’t mean drama is off-limits — grit will appeal to their own persistent and expressive personality.
Check out Criminal Minds or NCIS, The Office, Fuller House, or (if you’re in the mood for more suspense) Nikita.
Gemini (May 21 – June 20)
Geminis are one of the toughest signs to pin down: lively, yet serious, restless, but indecisive. They’re often fickle with their emotions, jumping from one thing to the next without a moment’s notice, but people love them for their charisma and bubbly personality. Known for being a social butterfly, they’ll gravitate toward an ensemble cast, but with a heavy dose of drama to keep them interested.
Best picks for a Gemini: Friends, Gilmore Girls, Lost, or Friday Night Lights.
Cancer (June 21 – July 22)
Backing down from a challenge isn’t something that comes easily to a Cancer. This doesn’t mean they’re cold; in fact, they’re extremely sensitive and kind, but won’t let others push them — or their loved ones - around. A romance will appeal to their emotional nature, and a strong set of characters will give them something to relate to.
They’ll love Jane the Virgin, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Orange is the New Black, or Parenthood.
Leo (July 23 – August 22)
Dramatic Leos love the spotlight. Always one to speak their mind, they may appear arrogant or self-centered, but their dominant personality comes from an inherent desire to take care of those around them.
What to watch: Reign, Gossip Girl, Young and Hungry, or Skins.
Virgo (August 23 – September 22)
Virgos are known for being people-pleasers, and their kind, intuitive approach often stems from their analytical thinking. They’re extremely careful and have a plan for everything, always keeping their feet on the ground (they are an Earth sign, after all).
Grey’s Anatomy, Cutthroat Kitchen, Suits, or Dexter are perfect for a Virgo’s keen mind.
Libra (September 23 – October 22)
Their sign is the scales, and it couldn’t be any clearer. Libras are all about balance, and have an innate need for justice and equality. Extremely caring, they’ll take their time to think through a situation, and - like Geminis - love being surrounded by people.
Shows for a Libra: Making a Murderer, Chopped, Jessica Jones, or Better Call Saul.
Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)
Passionate and strong, Scorpios appreciate mystery, and know how to keep a secret. They’re always aware of what’s going on around them, but have a mean poker face, often channeling their intensity inward. They tend to be distrusting and can become obsessive easily, but their calm, cool, and collected demeanor makes them unstoppable.
Breaking Bad, Scandal, Bates Motel, and Bloodline were made for a Scorpio.
Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)
If there’s a sign most likely to have an Instagram littered with “#wanderlust” photos, it’s Sagittarius. They’re independent, determined, and are always up to try something new. Just because they’re dreamers doesn’t mean their heads are in the clouds — like Aries and Leo, they’re a fire sign, known for being doers.
They’ll love An Idiot Abroad, Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown, 30 Rock, or Madam Secretary.
Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)
This is the no-nonsense sign of the zodiac. They’re ambitious, but have the discipline to back it up, and will do whatever it takes to reach their goals. Known for being independent, they may have trouble trusting other people, and have a low tolerance for laziness.
Look for a show that features a character just as tenacious as them, like Orphan Black, Shameless, House of Cards, or Ray Donovan.
Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)
Quirky, friendly, and a heart of gold — Aquarius in a nutshell. They love helping people and tend to go with the flow, but their free-spirited attitude can turn into laziness if they don’t have a cause to lend their energy to. Despite their typically cold exterior, an Aquarius can make friends with anyone, and will open up emotionally after their trust has been earned.
What to watch: Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Portlandia, New Girl, or Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.
Pisces (February 19 – March 20)
Romantic Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac, and also one of the most emotional. Known as the most tolerant sign, they forgive easily, and tend to create deep emotional connections with people close to them.
Highly intuitive and extremely artistic, they’ll love a show as dreamy as they are — check out Once Upon a Time, Pretty Little Liars, The 100, or One Tree Hill.
