Fun Things to Do on Valentine’s Day With Your Girlfriends
February 14th will be here before you know it. Single? No worries! Grab your girlfriends (single or not) and celebrate together. You’ll probably have way more fun anyway, let’s be honest. Forget Valentine’s Day; here are things you can do to celebrate Galentine’s Day!
1. Go out to the clubs/bars
Dress up, do each other’s makeup, and head out downtown! Girl nights out are way more fun when no boyfriends are involved! If you’re not 21 yet, no worries. You can still hit the town and have a great time. Try going to a concert or dance class instead!
2. Have a spa day
Take the time to give each other a manicure and a pedicure (foot massage as a bonus if you’re an awesome friend!). Bring over your favorite makeup and show your friends all your tips and tricks.
3. Go shopping
Save up your money over the next few weeks in preparation for a shopping spree. Your girlfriends will be there to let you know what looks best and help you score some great deals.
4. Make Valentine’s Day themed cookies and cocktails
Then spread the love and give the extra cookies to your friends and neighbors!
5. Host a white elephant party
Who says the holiday season and games have to be over just yet? White elephant or secret Santa (secret Cupid?) can be fun any day of the year. Plus, who doesn’t love presents?
6. Make a dinner reservation
Vote on your favorite restaurant and call to make a group reservation. Best part is, you can eat as much as you want without worrying about what your “date” may think. Just make sure you call ahead of time so that you are guaranteed to get a spot on such a busy day.
7. Volunteer together
Volunteering is great for the community and also a great way to bond. You’ll feel great afterwards knowing you helped people in need. Plus, volunteering with your girlfriends will make the time pass by fast. Some volunteer ideas include making Valentine’s Day cards for children or elderly people in the hospital.
8. Host a house party
Team up with your girlfriends to plan an awesome house party. Each person can take on a different responsibility (such as food, decorations, etc.). Then, invite everyone you know who is single! No couples allowed! This could even be a great way to meet someone special.
9. Go on a group “blind date”
Have each of your girlfriends be responsible for finding another friend’s blind date. This will be fun because everyone will be in the same boat. Your friends often see qualities in others that you may not initially see! Plus, if it goes poorly, at least you have your girls by your side, right?
Whatever you may choose to do on Valentine’s Day, make sure you have fun and stay safe! Embrace your relationship status no matter what it is.
