5 Things to Do on Valentine’s Day If You’re Single
1. Galentine’s Day
The best holiday created by Leslie Knope is meant for all gals and their gal friends on Valentine’s Day. It doesn’t matter if you’re single, married, in a relationship – Galentine’s Day is the perfect excuse for a girl’s night. Go see a movie or have wine and dinner at your place. My girlfriends and I are going to a hockey game this year! Celebrate how you and your ladies like to!

2. Indulge in some self-care
Valentine’s Day can be a drag if you’ve been single for a long time. Treat yo self! Buy an essential oil-infused bath bomb. Pour yourself a glass of wine or make a new cocktail you’ve wanted to try (sangria, anyone?). Binge watch that show that you’ve been meaning to watch for ages. Giving yourself some TLC is so important. You don’t need a significant other for that.
3. Throw a party
This was always easy for me because one of my best friends’ birthdays is on Valentine’s Day, but you don’t need a special occasion. Invite some friends over and live up the night! Make a fun punch and a rockin’ playlist. OR if you’ve had a rough year in the love department, do like Jessica Biel’s character in “Valentine’s Day” and throw an anti-V-Day party.
4. Fall in love with a new hobby or pastime
Have you wanted to learn something new for a long time? For example, I’ve always wanted to learn how to crochet. I may spend this Valentine’s Day watching some YouTube videos and end up with some cool mittens to survive the rest of the Michigan winter.
5. Babysit for a couple who needs a night out
I know it’s incredibly difficult for parents to find time for a date night. Offer to babysit on Valentine’s Day so a couple can get a night out for a romantic dinner and a movie. You get to help them out AND you make some cash!
