5 Spring Fashion Trends for 2018 (That Don’t Include Florals)
Depending on where you live, it may or may not be feeling like spring right about now. Even if it isn’t, endure the chill and shed some of those heavy, winter layers; sunny days are just around the corner! Every year, springtime trends are pretty similar - florals, florals, and more florals. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love wearing floral prints, but this year, I think we should change it up a bit. This season, why not elevate your spring style with one (or more) of these five trends?
1. Fringe
Let your inner cowgirl out with this fun and edgy styling. This spring, show off the trend with a fringe jacket, dress, handbag, sandals, or even your hair!
2. Lavender
Although pastels aren’t exactly a groundbreaking concept for spring, lavender is sure to a hot pastel color this season. A pretty shade that looks good on any skin tone, lavender can make any suit, dress, and sweater feel a little girly and chic.

3. Shimmer and Shine
This season, don’t be afraid to get your shine on. Best way to do that? With sequins, of course! Designers like Marc Jacobs, Luis Vuitton, and Christian Dior all showed some sparkle on the runway for spring, so as fashion-lovers, we must follow the lead.
4. Pops of Color
Bright colors aren’t only for the summertime. A pop of mustard yellow or cherry red can elevate your outfit from “meh” to “wow.” But don’t take it too far. Mix a relatively neutral outfit with a bright bag, pair of heels, or flowy skirt and effortlessly stand out in the crowd.
5. Sheer
For the daring fashion fiends out there, the sheer look might be the trend for you this spring. The sheer trend can be as risqué or demure as you want it to, depending on the style and transparency of the clothes, and what you choose to wear (or not wear) underneath.
