2017 was a great year for celebrities. Altogether, the income of the world’s highest paid celebs brought in $5.15 billion between June 1, 2016, and June 1, 2017. Check out the highlights from the highest paid celebrities, according to Forbes:
Diddy
First on the list is Diddy, who made the highest amount at $130 million. A majority of Diddy’s money came from a large portion of Sean John clothing equity and his partnership with Diageo’s Cîroc vodka.
Beyoncé
Even after having twins, Beyoncé still managed to land herself in the top of the list. I mean, of course she did. She’s Beyoncé. Earning $105 million, this music artist is number two on Forbes’ highest paid celebs list, respectively. (Her bae Jay Z earned $42 million this year.)
J.K. Rowling
Rounding out the top three, the author of the greatest fantasy series, “Harry Potter,” brought in $95 million.
Drake & Cristiano Ronaldo
Canadian rapper Drake and Portuguese soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo made $94 and $93 million this past year, respectively, rounding out the top five list of highest paid celebrities.
The Weeknd
Despite his recent breakup with Selena Gomez, The Weeknd earned $92 million and appears on this year’s cover of Celebrity 100 issue. He’s currently finishing up his “Starboy” world tour.
Justin Bieber
On the other side of this sort-of love triangle, Justin Bieber made $83.5 million this year. (He made $56 million last year, so he’s clearly doing something right.)
Howard Stern
At 63 years old, American radio personality Howard Stern is again on the Forbes list of highest paid celebrities. Earning $5 million more than last year, Stern brought in a big $90 million during 2017.
Music
Some familiar musicians you may know have also made the top 100 list. Bands like Coldplay ($88 million) and Guns N’ Roses ($86 million) landed at number 8 and 11. In addition, Bruce Springsteen ($75 million), Adele ($69 million), Calvin Harris ($48.5 million), Bruno Mars ($39 million), and The Chainsmokers ($38 million) are also on the list.
Rihanna
This past year, Rihanna brought in $36 million. But with the launch of her makeup brand, Fenty Beauty, which has been valued at $72 million after one month of sales, I’m sure Rihanna will be at the top of next year’s list.
These celebrities rounded out the bottom five of the list (but still made millions, so they’re still living their best life.)
Katy Perry & Chance The Rapper
This year Katy Perry brought in $33 million, landing her 95th on this year’s list. She is tied with Chance The Rapper, who made the same amount.
Carmelo Anthony
Oklahoma City Thunder basketball player Carmelo Anthony made $32.6 million this year, placing him at 97th on the list.
Kevin Hart & Jason Aldean
Comedian Kevin Hart tied with country singer Jason Aldean at $32.5 million. Last year, Kevin Hart was up at number five with $87.5 million.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic
You may or may not have any idea who this is. Zlatan is a Swedish professional soccer player who came in at number 100 on the Forbes list, earning $32 million.
