Good Places for First dates

So you and that special person you’ve been eyeing for a while are finally going to hang out sometime. First off, congrats! Now you’re probably wondering, “What the heck should we do?” If you’re thinking of planning a cool, more unique date than just heading to a bar or restaurant, then check out this list! There are a ton of places to go on a first date, but here are eight of the best options:

1) First Fridays at the Museum

In most cities in the U.S., there are First Fridays every month that allow the general public to visit museums for free. Free date and cool art? Sounds like a good time to me.

2) Wine & Paint Night

For the 21-and-over date-goers, why not try a sip and paint night? Loosen up and get to know each other a little more over drinks and art. Half of the fun is messing up!

3) Cooking Class

For the Food Network and Top Chef fans, a cooking class is the perfect first date for you! Sign up for a class with your potential beau and “cook up” something special (see what I did there?).

4) Watch the Sunrise or Sunset

Watching a beautiful sunrise or sunset is a beautiful experience, and can be made even more special by watching it with your date. Take your new beau to your favorite watching spot, and you’ve got a great first date spot!

5) Bike Ride

For the more active pair, why not put a little exercise into your first date? Take a nice, scenic bike ride with your crush for a fun, different kind of date.

6) Zoo Date

Calling all of the animal lovers out there! The zoo isn’t just for kids; let loose at the zoo with your date and embrace your inner child while looking at all the animals.

7) Have a Picnic

Picnics are seriously underrated. I mean, there’s food, good company, and a nice scenic spot - how could you go wrong with that? Take your potential sweetheart on a low cost, classic, romantic first date.

8) Hiking

Here’s another one for the active pair! Hiking is a great way to get some exercise, and get in some good conversation (depending on how strenuous that hike is). Find a nice place to go on a hike, and make your next first date as easy or difficult as you’d like.
