Earth Day and Other Environmental Scholarships
Celebrated on April 22nd, Earth Day is an annual event to recognize and demonstrate support for environmental protection. Whether you ride your bike instead of driving your car, donate old clothes to charity, or plant a tree, there are tons of ways to show the Earth some love.

Environmental Scholarships
One Planet, Many People Scholarship Video Contest
Available to high school seniors and college undergrads. Four winners will be chosen. You must submit a 60-second-or-less video that takes viewers through the impacts of human population growth in your neighborhood, city, state, country, or planet.

AMTROL INC. Scholarship
Did you create a science or environmental project that you’re proud of? Did it involve ground water resources? Have you had a vacation or out-of-school experience related to natural resources? If you answered yes to any of these, and you will be entering college, you are eligible for this scholarship. $1,500 is awarded to the winner.

Alpha Gamma Rho
With their tagline “Nature. Grow. Give. Repeat.” Alpha Gamma Rho is offering several national scholarships to undergraduates who are brothers from any Alpha Gamma Rho chapter and enrolled in an environmental-related major.

Commitment to Social Change Scholarship
Walden University is offering a scholarship to its master’s and doctoral students who demonstrate the ability to create positive social change. The school’s mission is to prepare students to make a positive impact on the world, and in doing so, the winner of the scholarship will receive $2,500.

Undergraduates and graduate students enrolled in an accredited sustainable or organic agriculture program can apply. Annie’s Homegrown strives to make a positive impact through food and the food system. They are giving away scholarships to support students who want to make the planet a better place.

Earth Island Institute’s Brower Youth Awards
In honor of the renowned environmentalist David Brower, the Earth Island Institute grants an award to young environmental change leaders between the ages of 13 and 22. To be eligible, applicants must submit the application, photo, and reference letter on their environmental work.

Environmental Internships
Summer Wildlife Intern – Wildcare Inc.
Are you interested in the treatment and care of injured or orphaned animals? If so, this unpaid internship might be for you. This is a great opportunity to build your resume, work hands-on with animals, and network. Learn more about the eligibility requirements here.
Global Green USA Security and Sustainability Program Internship
This internship is available to undergrad and grad students who are interested in international security, nonproliferation, arms control, and other environmental issues. If you happen to be interested, you must create a project on a topic based on the needs of the organization, as well as your own interests.
