On top of the monthly $1,000 Free College Scholarship, sponsored scholarships, and quarterly $10,000 scholarship drawings, ScholarshipPoints also runs a variety of other fun and exciting contests. Prizes for these contests have included iPads, Flip video cameras, and scholarship money of course! Here are some of our recent contests:
2012 Inspiring Educator Essay Contest
The 2012 Inspiring Educator essay contest is officially underway and there's $4,000 of scholarship money at stake. This is your chance to become a winner by submitting an essay about an educator that pushes you and/or your friends to be the very best version of yourselves.
Being an inspiring educator can mean any number of things. Maybe it's a teacher that taught you the theory behind quantum physics or maybe it's that guidance counselor or resident director who stays late every night talking with you about life's latest challenges. We know that there are teachers out there that go to work every single day and make an enormous impression on students like you, and we want to know about them.

School Spirit Photo Contest
WOW! We knew that our ScholarshipPoints members have School Spirit but we could never have predicted just how much you guys actually have! We had the best time watching all of these photos being submitted via Facebook. Not only do you guys have a ton of School Spirit you also have some incredibly dedicated friends who’ve got your back. Every morning we’d check out the vote counts and it seemed like you and your friends stayed up all night submitting as many votes as you could! Awesome work! We hope that you enjoyed the contest as much as we enjoyed hosting it.
Scholarship Idol Video Contest
Scholarship Idol is one of our favorite contests because not only do we get to see some of the faces of our many members, we get to see them in action. After watching all of these videos we know that we have the most creative members of any scholarship Web site around! Not only do our members create great videos but then they get their friends, families, and people they just met to vote for their video. The number of votes we get for each video is truly amazing and it's always a tight race to the finish!
2010 Back-to-School Member Madness
In October ScholarshipPoints held a Back-to-School Member Madness membership drive. New members were entered into a $250 scholarship drawing, members who earned 100 points were entered into a $500 scholarship drawing, and those who earned 500 points were entered into a $1,000 drawing.
2010 One Millionth Member Madness
In May 2010, ScholarshipPoints reached one-million members. To celebrate, we awarded iPads to three lucky members. Members who earned at least 100 scholarship points in April and May were eligible. Congratulations to the three winners!
